how I would modify our existing house by adding a mirror image “bump-out” to the other side and redesigning the roofline.  I’d probably make the bump-outs extend the same amount in the rear, so that there would be a built-in covered patio.  I’d also extend all of the ceilings to the roof with timbers and eliminate the attic. (the top pic is an old one of our house… it’s different colors with different landscaping now.)
